Alpine tour week: Monte Rosa
6 Gpifel at 4,000 meters above sea level and crossing the Liskamm ridge.
A highlight for experienced mountaineers.
Requirements:
- Very good condition of around 8 to 10 hours.
- Acclimatized for 4000 meters (early arrival recommended for acclimatization)
- Safe crampon technique vertically and frontally approx. 45 °
- Experience in Combined Terrain II,
- No fear of heights, surefootedness
Sunday:
Meeting point at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Bergfreund in Herbriggen.
Monday: Allalinhorn
Drive to Saas Fee and ascent with the lifts to the station Hohlaub 3190m. Ascent to the Allalinhorn 4027m via the Hohlaubgrat. Cozy, beautiful firn ridge with short passages in the rock (II). Descent via the normal route to Mittelallalin station. Return to Herbriggen.

Tuesday: Breithorn, Pollux, Rifugio Guide d’Ayas
Take the hotel taxi to Zermatt. Ascent by cable car to the small Matterhorn at 3800m. Easy hike across the Plateau-Rosa to the Breithorn summit at 4160m. Descent to the Breithornpass and on the S-side cross to the foot of the Pollux. Easy climb partly on fixed ropes to the beginning of the firn ridge that leads to the summit at 4092m.

Wednesday: Castor, Quintino Sella Hut
You walk over the Verragletscher to the foot of the western flank of the Castor. Across the flank in a few hairpin bends to the summit ridge and over this to the highest point of the Castor at 4228m. Descent via the south-east side over an easy firn ridge to Felikjoch 4066m and over the Felik glacier to the Quintino Sella hut at 3450m

Thursday: Liskamm crossing, Cabanna Margheritahütte (Signalkuppe)
Ascent via Felikgletscher and Felikjoch to the west summit of the Liskamm at 4479m. The traverse to the higher eastern summit at 4527m falls under the classic summit tours in the Western Alps. Beautiful high-altitude tour with a short rocky passage (II), a long firn ridge and a perfect view of Zermatt and the Po Valley.
From the east summit impressive descent to Lisjoch4152m. Later, over the Oberen- Grenzgletscher up to the highest refuge in the Alps, the Cab.Margheritahütte on the Signalkuppe at 4550m.

Friday: Zumsteinspitze or crossing to Dufourspitze, Herbriggen
Shortly after sunrise departure to Zumsteinspitze at 4563m. Descent over the Grenzgletscher to the Monterosahütte 2880m and further over the Gornergletscher back to Rotenboden, from where we take the Gornergratbahn back down to Zermatt. With the hotel taxi back to Herbriggen.
